“Garden Work is a concept I designed to inspire others. In a world that seems to get more chaotic every day, I believe it is as important as ever to make space in our everyday lives for quiet reflexion- a space where the noise and distractions give way to Truth and Guidance. It’s not enough to get it on Sunday morning alone, and it was never meant to be enough! I am sharing the unique ways I have come to know Him in my “Garden”, and I want to show you the way to a Garden of your own. ”

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’

-Matthew 22:36-39

“What is my purpose? Love, I believe, is the simple answer to that often overwhelming question. My life’s purpose is to Love; love my Creator, and love my neighbor. But there is a third person in that verse: me! If I am not loving myself all that well— how well am I loving my neighbor? We have to make time and space to tend to ourselves— support and care for ourselves. I believe, if we want to make a good impact in the earth, we can start by being true and good to ourselves. And that means making time for stillness, quietness. It means making space for a spiritual kind of self care. And that’s Garden Work.”

Garden Workshops

Workshops take Garden Work a step further by giving more time and opportunity for discussion and reflection; more time for stories and questions; more space for ideas and connections. Evening workshops are a great opportunity to rest and reset with a glass of wine and a restorative conversation. Think…a drink after work… but way better. Full day workshops have a mini retreat vibe… It’s a beautiful way to take it all in at once.

Garden Work Retreat:

Retreats are designed to be experienced in small, intimate group gatherings where you (the host) will assemble the group and choose a location. Sarah is hired to join your group gathering where she will lead the retreat through interactive conversations over a 24 hour period: one afternoon session, one evening session and one morning session. This is a great opportunity for enhancing friendships— old and new. All are sure to leave rested, restored and inspired. There may be tears, and there will be laughs, but the best getaways usually have both! We recommend booking an in house dinner service for an added luxury to allow relaxations and conversations to linger into the night as guests enjoy a cocktail and a cozy setting. (may we suggest Sarah’s signature “bright spot martini”!)

“Tending” is the name of the game, and the retreat is the ultimate Garden Work experience of tending to heart, soul and mind.
